This guide explains how to add or update a gift message on an existing order in ACP.

Orders can only be edited if they are eligible for editing.


When You Can Edit an Order

You can add a gift message if the order is still editable.

Orders must not be:

  • In active warehouse processing

  • Already shipped


How to Add a Gift Message

  1. Locate the order by searching the order number, recipient name, or address.
    You can use Spotlight Search if you are unsure where the order is located.

  2. Click the Order Number to open the order details.

  3. Click the pencil icon in the top-right corner to edit the order.

  4. Enter the desired gift message in the Gift Message field.

  5. Click Save to update the order.


If the Order Is on Fulfillment Hold

If the order is currently on Fulfillment Hold, you may select:

Save and Fulfill

This updates the order and releases it at the same time.


Important Notes

  • Gift messages print on the packing slip unless alternative gift message options are enabled

  • Pre-Pack Just in Time (JIT) orders cannot include a gift message.
