Fulfillment Hold

The Fulfillment Hold feature allows orders to be imported or created in ACP while preventing immediate transmission to the warehouse management system (WMS).

This provides a controlled window to:

  • Review order data

  • Make corrections

  • Apply additional rules

  • Manage timing for downstream warehouse processing

Fulfillment Hold impacts when an order moves from ACP into warehouse execution. It does not modify order contents.

Hold Types

There are two distinct Fulfillment Hold paths:

1. File Import Holds

Applied to orders imported through the Order Import page.

These are configurable directly within the Order Import interface.

2. API and Manual Creation Holds

Applied to:

  • Orders created via API

  • Orders manually created in ACP

These holds are configured through the Rule Center and may be:

  • Permanent

  • Temporary

  • Conditional (based on order data)

Order Status Behavior

When an order is on Fulfillment Hold:

  • The order remains in ACP

  • The order does not transmit to WMS

  • The warehouse does not receive the order

  • Inventory is not operationally acted on by the warehouse

Release of the hold triggers normal downstream processing.
