Create Virtual Items

Virtual Items are non-physical SKUs used to modify order behavior in ACP.

They do not represent stored inventory and do not create inventory movements.

Virtual items currently support two use cases:

• Tasting Fee

• Ice Pack

What Virtual Items Do

Virtual items modify how an order is processed.

Tasting Fee

• Removed from fulfillment order details.

• Does not create a pick/pack requirement.

• Does not reserve inventory.

• Used for POS-level accounting purposes only.

Ice Pack

• Adds an ice pack handling requirement to the order.

• Triggers warehouse packaging logic.

• Does not represent stored saleable inventory.

Location

Navigate to:

Inventory & Items → Manage Items

Select the Virtual Items tab.

Click Create Virtual Item.
