Force Reserve
Force Reserve allows Admin users to manually prioritize an order when inventory is limited.
This feature applies only to orders in:
Needs Action: Insufficient Inventory
Received – Queued Publishing
It does not apply to orders already sent to the warehouse.
How Force Reserve Works
When Force Reserve is applied to an order:
The order is moved to the front of the reservation queue.
The system redistributes available inventory based on the new priority.
Other orders may lose their reserved inventory as a result.
This redistribution may cause:
Previously reserved orders to become partially unreserved.
Orders to move into Needs Action: Insufficient Inventory status.
The system does not display which specific orders are impacted.
Important Limitations
Only one order can be Force Reserved at a time.
Each action must complete before another can be initiated.
Force Reserve does not create inventory.
If no inventory is available, the order will remain unreserved.
Orders already published to WMS are not affected.
Operational Considerations
Force Reserve is designed for intentional prioritization — such as:
VIP shipments
Time-sensitive orders
Manual allocation decisions
Because it may shift inventory away from other orders, it should be used with care.
