Queued Publishing
Queued Publishing controls when future-dated orders are sent to the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
This workflow applies to orders that:
Have been released from the Action Center
Have a requested ship date more than 14 days in the future
How Queued Publishing Works
When an order is released from the Action Center:
If the requested ship date is more than 14 days away, the order moves to:
Open Orders → Received – Queued Publishing
The order will remain in this status until:
The requested ship date reaches the 14-day threshold.
At that point:
The order automatically publishes to WMS for warehouse processing.
No manual action is required.
Why This Exists
Queued Publishing allows future-dated orders to:
Reserve inventory in advance
Remain editable prior to warehouse processing
Be reprioritized using Force Reserve (if necessary)
This protects inventory planning while preventing premature warehouse activity.
For reservation priority changes, refer to:
Inventory Reservations – Force Reserve
